No último domingo, 14, aconteceu a 29ª edição do Critics Choice Awards, premiação que mostra os filmes e séries favoritos do ano segundo a crítica hollywoodiana. A cerimônia é considerada como um “termômetro” para o Oscar, que acontece em 10 de março.
A 29ª edição do Critics Choice Awards aconteceu no The Barker Hangar, em Santa Monica, Los Angeles, e reuniu diversos artistas para anunciar os vencedores de cada prêmio. Com 18 indicações, “Barbie” bateu o recorde de filme mais indicado na história da premiação, que antes pertencia a "A Forma da Água" e "Tudo em Todo Lugar ao Mesmo Tempo", com 14 indicações.
“Oppenheimer” foi o grande vencedor da noite, levando oito troféus para casa, seguido de “Barbie”, levando seis. Ademais, desbancando “O Menino e a Garça”, “Homem-Aranha Através do Aranhaverso” ganhou o prêmio de melhor filme de animação.
